Wow! Kingsley Hall 19G-5 ZC has learned that in addition to crashing funerals and weddings great places to have a nice meal even if you get caught and have to pay for them is a visitation to either Comopolis or Central Park Lions Clubs. Nothing like a home cooked meal in a building actually owned by these Lions Clubs. This observation may be inspirational to some of the rest of us. Heavy on the maybe. It's just a thought. Anyway K.Hall ZC told his 4 jokes again at Cosi Club Sept. 24th and earned a free dinner. Offered to sing but didn't have to. Ahem! Anyway they are emotionally prepared for a visit by Lion Dale Jacobson, DG on Wednesday October 8, 2008. Since protocol dictates the ZC has to introduce the DG Kingsley will be avoiding the funeral parlor again on Wednesday October 8th, 2008.

Another great experience for K. Hall was to have the honor of assisting in the presentation of a Melvin Jones Fellowship to Ralph Turner per below.

Dear Mr. Ralph Turner; Immediate 3 time Past President of Willapa Harbor Lions

It is a great honor as a MD19G-5 Zone Chairman to be the one to present this Melvin Jones Award (Considered the highest awarded presented by Lions Club International to either a Lion or a non-Lion for your example to the rest of us on what it means to live by our motto WE SERVE.).

Your peers that makes this possible are first the few members of your Lions Club that in years past have also received this award followed by all the past and present members of your Lions club along with  many members of the community that want you recognized for all you have done.

Some people may not know that their appreciation is such they have made a donation in excess of the required minimum $1,000.00 in your name to The Lions Club International Foundation Trust Fund were only the interest is paid out  to fund their future world wide noble causes. Thereby you and your wife Kitty’s WE SERVE will be carried on as yet another YOU SERVED intention long after we all are likely to live

Congratulations are in order because you provided so much of the leadership necessary to keep this wonderful Lions Club so intact and active so this happened while some of our Clubs in our Zone are having difficulty.

Very Truly Yours,

On behalf of District Governor Dale Jacobson and all Lions Club Officers to The International President in Thailand And all of us fellow citizens

Thanks again

Kingsley S. Hall Jr. 19G-5 Zone Chairman

While fishing the copy of above newspaper story out of the local Raymond paper K. Hall  came across this and can't help but want this idea shared here and at his First Zone Meeting Nov 5 (in case you miss same) to all clubs in 19G-5

Kingsley & Connie after driving from Elma to Raymond to present MJF to Ralph Turner per above turned right around and drove back North thru Elma to Osoyoos, B.C. to attend the Lions Club MD19 Fall Forum. Next Bulletin will have report on information from there.
