Mr. Kingsley Hall, Took his first musical instruction & gave his first piano recital in Kimball Hall, Chicago. Started in performances of musical theater while a student of Electrical Engineering at Washington State University. (2 musicals 1 opera) Did not return to stage until 1980 at 50 yrs old. He is now the owner of the Elma Theater and artistic director of the Elma Children's Theater Assn. He is a veteran of over 2,500 performances of mostly musical theater performed starting in 1980 mostly as directed by Patrick Dennis Hart (CEO of Screen Actors Agency in Hollywood CA) former owner of & at the Auburn Dinner Theater. Only had lead roles (not @ Auburn) in productions of Fiddler on The Roof, Man of La Mancha & Scrooge . Did one month each as Kringelin in Gypsy, Andrew Carnes in Oklahoma, Ogre in Puss In Boots (play), Gryphon in Alice In Wonderland (musical & play) three different roles in three different productions of Carousel (Pullman, Spokane, Port Angeles) etc. etc.... In 1985 served on Board of Directors of The Port Angeles Light Opera Assn during the year he performed in men's chorus of Carousel there http://www.paloa.org/carousel%201985.htm (Hall & McNeil elected by cast but printed as addendum insert to program) Four performances in King & Pierce Counties and one on his own stage of Pooh Ba in The Mikado. For seventeen years he sang Barbershop in Kirkland, WA with the Lake Washington Skippers (in 1966 they took a ninth place in national competition in Chicago) Later sang as a Program VP with The Strait Men of Port Angeles, WA He currently directs about four productions a year at the Elma Theater (some of which he takes on the road) which he is trying to retire from. He spends one month a year on a North America Rail pass scouting in US & Canada for shows to book in to his theater. His dream is to direct and or produce Die Fledermous and Carousel on his own stage soon. He is still trying to buy a certain private railway car for his acting troupe & a certain local piece of property that has a railway spur. Another dream would be to have a SPEBSQSA barbershop chorus from the Elma Theater to be the first Evergreen District Champions to win the International Championship. Lake Washington Skippers won a 2nd place in 1972 & a 9th place in 1966 (Kingsley was in that effort) but the Northwest (Evergreen District) has never won a national championship.
