The free showing on our big screen of this London, UK performance presented in hopes that some folks in the audience will be inspired to join us in preparing for our 12/30/2006 efforts. Some of the people already cast may be available during this showing but we still need volunteer conductors, choreographers, singers (2 or 3 soloists), actors, dancers (only need to waltz), musicians, set designers, set builders, lighting designers, lighting operators, costume help, house management including maintainance, concession stand help with health cards. We may consider double casting and thence have a even number of performances in Dec of 2006 instead of just the one on the 30th. In fact the 31st falls on a Sunday in 2006 (therefore other peoples parties may be on the 30th) so we may change to the 29th and possibly the 28th (if two shows because of double casting). This comic opera is actually easier to produce and participate in than most musicals so don't let the word opera scare you. Die Fledermaus is traditionally presented throughout the world on New Years Eve. We realize most of us want to go out and party on 12/31 (or the 30th) hence the 12/28-29-30 type dates which we hope will become a tradition on our stage for years to come. We don't guaranty remuneration but we have paid in the past and have a higher probability of compensation than any other local theater depending on revenues from audiences. We will be meeting on Wednesday evenings 6-8 PM as soon as outside temperatures make it easier to heat the theater
